Policarpio Ronaldo “Jopring” Cuevas is a Tawilis fisherman from Barangay Don Juan, town of Cuenca in the province of Batangas, Philippines. Honed by his father’s experiences as a fisherman, Jopring followed his old man’s trails. The elusive harvest of Tawilis has fractured his capacity to fulfill his dreams of raising his six children. The documentary explores the drama behind one fisherman’s plight and struggle to make life better, sailing towards a hope that is beginning to fade away.

About Reymer Salvador

Reymer Salvador is a Mass Communication graduate of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (University of the City of Manila). Tawilis: Palaot as Mailap an Huli is his first documentary short.
