This year marks the inauguration of DocuAsia, a public screening and forum on Asian independent and documentary films. This event is a project of David Lam Centre and also part of New Asia Film Festival.

The first DocuAsia will put a spotlight on CNEX. Following an introduction on Chinese independent documentary movement by Professor Shuyu Kong from Department of Humanities, SFU, Mr. Ben Tsiang, the founder and CEO of CNEX will describe the production and exhibition activities that CNEX has been engaged in recent years. Two documentaries from CNEX, Brave Father (Fuqin, 2007) and Game Dream (Youxi shiguang, 2008) will be shown after the talks. Both are North American premieres.
