The making of the film
Background
この映画は東京大学が学生・社会人にコンテンツプロデューサー育成を行う東京大学大学院情報学環コンテンツ創造科学プログラムに対して、佐賀県唐津市が映画製作を依頼したことから始まりました。
この作品の目的は第一に学生がプロデューサーになり若い感覚で唐津の魅力を再発掘して地域振興につなげること。第二に、学生が事業として成立する映画製作を経験することによる後進映画人の育成にあります。
This film project has started from that City of Karatsu requested to produce a film to The University of Tokyo Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies Program of Contents Creation Science which is the educational program of contents producing the University of Tokyo holds for students and working persons.
The main purpose of this project is that #1- the students to be working as producers for detecting the attraction of Karatsu and for developing Karatsu, #2- to train the young generation of film makers by making a commercial.
About Jacques Mayol ジャック・マイヨール
ジャック・マイヨール（Jacques Mayol, 男性,1927年4月1日- 2001年12月23日）
1927年上海に生まれる。
10歳の時に、佐賀県唐津市の七つ釜ではじめてイルカと出会った。
13歳で一家でフランスに渡り、高校を出ると冒険に没頭。
周りの勧めでフリー・ダイビングに挑戦するようになり、1966年に60メートルを記録したのを皮切りにエンゾ・マイオルカと共に記録合戦を繰り広げた。
1976年11月23日、人類史上初めて素潜りで100メートルを超える記録をつくる。
1983年、リュック・ベッソンと出会い、1988年自伝をもとにした映画「グラン・ブルー」が同監督により製作され、世界中の人にその存在を知られる。
競技から引退した後も、たびたび唐津市を訪れては長期間滞在していた。
Jacques Mayol – Male, April 1st 1927 – December 23rd 2001
Born in 1927 in Shanghai.
At 10 year-old, first met a dolphin in Nanatsugama, Karatsu.
At 13 year-old, moved to France, and after graduating from High School, got into adventure.
Started to free dive and set the record of 60 meter descending in 1966. After the record, competed with Enzo Maiorca by setting new records.
Became the first free diver in human history to descend to 100 meter in November 23rd, 1976.
Met Luc Besson in 1983, and based on Jacques’s autobiography, the film “La Grand Bleu”, was created by Besson, which made Jacques famous.
After retiring from competition, visited Karatsu often and long-stayed there.

【Akira Baba – 馬場章】
東京大学大学院情報学環教授。専門は歴史史料のデジタルアーカイブ化に関する研究。大学院情報学環では、ゲームを中心とするデジタルコンテンツの研究に従事。2006年、日本デジタルゲーム学会（DiGRA JAPAN）の初代会長に就任。2007年にはデジタルゲームの国際学術会議「DiGRA2007」の大会組織委員長を務め、ゲーム研究の普及拡大に貢献している。

Specialize in study of digital archive of historical archives. At the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies, engaging in research of digital contents centered games. Assumed the first president of Digital Games Research Association Japan (DiGRA JAPAN) in 2006. 【Takahiro Mitsuyoshi – みつよしたかひろ】
早稲田大学卒業後に写真家・ＴＶプログラムの演出家の道へ。2007年、さらなる知識を求めてコンテンツ創造科学プログラムに社会人として参加。今作で初めて映画のメガホンを取った。
After graduating from Waseda University, became a photographer and a director of Television programs. Attend at Contents Creation Science Program as a working person student in 2007. This film is his first directed film.

【Yuzo Koyama – 小山雄三】
バラエティー番組の構成作家。2003年、取材中にジャック・マイヨールが晩年を佐賀県・唐津市で過ごしたことを知る。それがきっかけとなり本作品を企画。ジャックと付き合いがあった唐津の人々への取材を通じ、自伝的映画「グラン・ブルー」（リュック・ベッソン監督）で描かれたものとは180度違う姿を目撃する。ジャックの冒険心溢れる、自由奔放な生き方に影響を受け、 2010年、アラスカに移住予定。
A Screenwriter. After graduating from Waseda University, became a screenwriter. Involved to several independent films, takes a part in this film as the first commercial film.Managed the idea designing, location scouting and organizing interviews in this film.Graduated from Graduate School of Film and New Media Tokyo University of the Arts. Attend at Contents Creation Science Program as a working person student from 2005.
Music Compose – 作曲
【Takshi Hama – はまたけし】
作曲家。6歳よりクラシックピアノを、13歳よりDTMによる作曲、ピアノの即興演奏を始める。
国立音楽大学音楽文化デザイン学科作曲専修、作曲応用コース専攻にて、クラシック音楽を中心に、映画音楽、ジャズ、雅楽の基礎を学び、在学中よりアニメ・CM・ゲーム等の幅広いジャンルで才能を発揮している。
A Composer. From 6 year-old, started playing classic piano, and from 13 year-old started composing by DTM and impromptu rendering of piano.
Majoring in Advanced Composing Course, graduated from Kunitachi College of Music Musical Culture Design Department. Studied bases centered in classical music, film music, jazz and gagaku, excising his abilities in wild range of fields such as animation, TV commercials, video games.

【Tsutomu Kuno – 公野勉】
映画製作者、東京大学コンテンツ創造科学プログラム准教授。日本大学大学院修了後、ギャガ・日活等で数々の映画をプロデュース。代表作は『鮫肌男と桃尻女』、『ユメ十夜』など。現在、東京大学・日本大学にて後進育成を行っている。今作ではその一貫として制作指導と監修にあたった。
A Film Creator and Special-Designated Associate Professor the University of Tokyo Program of Contents Creation Science. Graduated form Nihon University Graduate School. Produced various films at GAGA, Nikkatsu and others. The representative works are “Samehada-Otoko & Momojiri-Onna” “Ten Nights of Derams”.At the University of Tokyo and Nihon University, training younger generation, and as a part of it, leaded and supervised production in this film.
