Spectacular Video Projection Mapping @ the Richmond WinterFest 2011
Entering Dreamland…
Collectively created and performed by youth and professional media artists, this is the FIRST ever architectural video projection mapping in Richmond. It will employ digital technology to manipulate surfaces and boundaries of the building to tell a narrative about dreams. Live DJs will be on-site to enhance the experience with sound effects and music.
This multimedia video projection mapping is a showcase of the talents from the Dream Project. The Dream Project is a featured innovative community outreach program of the Cinevolution Media Arts Society.
It is also part of the Richmond WinterFest 2011. Check here to see exciting activities throughout the day on Feb 12/13 at the Richmond Oval.

About Architectural Video Projection Mapping
Architectural Video Projection Mapping is an exciting new projection technique that can turn almost any surface of a building into a dynamic video display. Specialized software is used to warp and mask the projected image to make it fit perfectly on irregularly shaped screens. When done right, the end result is a dynamic projection installation that transcends ordinary video projection.
The UNIQUENESS of this projection is that it is a real collaboration of YOUTH with professional media artists. Worldwide, big scale video projection mapping is always a job of professional artists due to its involvement with complicated technology. However, our projection is originally created by youth under the guidance of professional artists. So we are proud to say that this projection is one of the first youth created architectural projection mappings in the world!
Astonishing images created by the students.
